As part of Yorkdale Mall’s 200 million dollar expansion, Yorkdale Mall set out to relocate their existing food court to the north side of the mall on an existing second floor. Stampa Steel Erectors Ltd. was tasked with the installation structural steel, existing steel truss removal, shoring, & scanning on the project.

Project Highlights:

• Transporting/hoisting 290 tons structural steel 400ft within the mall and onto the second floor without the use of any heavy equipment.
• Hoisting 30 ton girder 310ft from existing parking lot to existing roof above new food court.
• Close cooperation with General Contractor/trades in overcoming design issues and working together with a relatively small area.
